Triconex 3625 Digital Input Modules
TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) Digital Input (DI) modules offer robust processing capabilities for handling data inputs. Each module comprises three isolated input channels, with independent data processing. The microprocessor on each channel scans input points, assembles data, and transmits it to the Main Processors as needed. Input data is voted at the Main Processors before processing to ensure utmost integrity. Critical signal paths are triplicated to ensure safety and availability.

Triconex 3625 Digital Input Modules continuously run diagnostics for each channel. In case of diagnostic failure on any channel, the module’s Fault indicator is triggered, along with the chassis alarm signal. The indicator pinpoints a channel fault, not a complete module failure. The module is designed to function properly with a single fault and certain types of multiple faults.
Models 3502E, 3503E, and 3505E possess the ability to self-test for stuck-On conditions. This is crucial for systems designed with a de-energize-to-trip capability. To detect Off points, a switch within the input circuitry is closed to simulate a zero input (Off). The last data reading is frozen in the I/O communication processor during the test.
All TMR Digital Input Modules support hot-spare capability and require an external termination panel (ETP) with a cable interface to the Tricon backplane. Mechanical keying ensures proper installation in a configured chassis.
