The GE Protective Termination Expander Board DS200TCEBG1BAA features 3 bayonet connectors, 4 signal transformers, and 1 26-pin connector. It also accommodates 4 10-pin connectors and 3 20-pin connectors. The board’s signal transformers enhance signal compatibility between two devices. Additionally, the board includes 3 20-pin connectors, labeled JKZ, JKX, and JKY, which connect to ribbon cables that carry signals from other boards inside the drive. Meanwhile, other boards within the drive receive these signals.

Ribbon cables consist of delicate fine wires, demanding special attention during connection or disconnection. When planning to disconnect the 20-pin ribbon cables, attach a tag or label that identifies the connector they are attached to first. This labeling reduces the risk of connecting the ribbon cable to the wrong connector, thus avoiding the need for cable reconnection and minimizing downtime when bringing the drive back online.

After labeling the ribbon cables, grip the ribbon cable connector at the cable’s end and gently remove it from the connector. If necessary, use your other hand to stabilize the board to prevent it from moving. Move the ribbon cable aside to access the board without disturbing its routing. The ribbon cable routing minimizes interference caused by running the ribbon cable parallel to power cables.
