Description:
The 3500/42M Proximitor/Seismic Monitor is a 4-channel monitoring device. It accepts input signals from proximity and seismic transducers, conditions these signals to provide various vibration and position measurements, and compares the conditioned signals with user-programmable alarms. Each channel can be programmed using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to perform a range of functions including Radial Vibration, Thrust Position, Differential Expansion, Eccentricity, REBAM*, Acceleration, Velocity, Shaft Absolute, and Circular Acceptance Region. It’s important to note that channels are programmed in pairs and can perform up to two of these functions simultaneously; channels 1 and 2 can perform one function, while channels 3 and 4 perform another (or the same) function.
Primary Purpose:
- Machinery Protection: The primary purpose of the 3500/42M monitor is to ensure machinery protection by continuously comparing monitored parameters against configured alarm setpoints to trigger alarms.
- Essential Machine Information: It also provides essential machine information for both operational and maintenance personnel.
